That's right! I made chocolate chip cookies and while I always worry about my baking — they were a huge hit! And I think it's due to the cookies status as a classic. Who can resist the yummy sweet snack of chocolate chip cookies?

Cabin Fever

This is AMAZING! The Prof. and I debate about which is better all the time — a cabin in the woods v. a tiny beach house. Which are you? I am a beach girl myself, all the way and Prof, he is, well, a mountain cabin kind of guy. Luckily Oregon can have the feel of both at the same time in many places on the coast. So, when I came across this I had to share. Anybody out there think about buying your second home first? That cheap little fixer-upper or even just a spot of lovely land to building something cool like this on?

The only thing I might add: wallpaper!

sweet treats: rich chocolatey goodness

Chocolate... yum! I am in a baking mood this morning. I am having a super craving for anything ultra rich and chocolatey. I was thinking of making something simple like chocolate chip cookies and then adding a little pizazz — like dipping them in a rich chocolate ganache? Or maybe sandwiching them between the ganache.... yummmm!

Oohh! I could add those chocolatey sprinkles too! you think that would curb my craving? Maybe for now...

Oh soo yummy!

The power of cheese

Hmmm... Cheese... and fonts? Random and delicious. Look here. It's a game — guess cheese or font. It's harder than you think, well, until you get Helvetica... Now I really can say cheesy fonts! Ah. I think I am the cheesy one this time.

Sweet treat

It's cookie day once again at work, and I have been craving to bake a cheesecake. Something with a little pizazz. So I did a little searching at a few of my favourite places and cake across these devastatingly simple and delicious cheesecake bars. Not sure about the chocolate. (I know, you are thinking: what? no chocolate!?! is she sick?) Rest assured. I am not ill. I had thought about doing one more like this sweet little number — raspberry swirl cheesecake. Don't the swirls look like tiny hearts? I can't decide, oh well. I do have a little while to think it over...

What do you think? Chocolate cheesecake squares or raspberry swirls?

**Post update: I have just finished making the chocolate cheesecake bars! They are cooling as we speak! Can't wait to see how they turn out. I am a little nervous about cutting them, hopefully it goes smoothly!!**

Sweet Tart

Aren't these little tarts just the most adorable! You all know how I love miniature treats, but these little wonders are pretty mouth-watering, wouldn't you agree? They are from a tiny shop in LA called Früute. Check out their pretty website, like the tiny treats, their package design and identity are delightful!

One of a Kind?

I came across this fabulous article and couldn't help but go through my own chick flicks to see if any fit the mold. So, I took out my personal movie collection in cute little boxes, entitled Romantic Comedy and flipped through to find a match or two. But was I surprised, a few of my favourite characters actually fit into multiple categories! Check out the results:

The Klutz: Jennifer Lopez landed her main man by losing her heel and nearly getting hit by a dumpster in the Wedding Planner.

The Ethereal Weirdo: How about Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter? Not exactly a chick flick, but she is just so adorable. **By the way, I saw her in JFK this summer.**

The Woman Who is Obsessed with Her Career and No Fun at all: The Stepford Wives, seems all the wives in this one need a makeover.

The Forty-two-Year-Old Mother of the Thirty-Year-Old Male Lead: My favourite movie mom — Diane Keaton, in The Family Stone.

The Sassy Best Friend: Runaway Bride, played by Joan Cusack, the hairdresser friend with the gift of gab.

The Skinny Woman Who Is Beautiful and Toned but Also Gluttonous and Disgusting: Two Weeks Notice, Sandra Bullock, eats multiple chili dogs and is gorgeous, also a lawyer and incredibly brilliant.

The Woman Who Works in an Art Gallery: You've Got Mail, does an little book store owner count?

May not be perfect matches, but that's what I have from my collection. What about you? Have any better matches?
